Prior to this role, John Phelps was the special education teacher where he found his passion working with adolescent youth at Ponderosa, the Coconino County Juvenile Detention Center, and the Coconino County Jail. He believes young people will make the world a better place. Mr. Phelps went to Northern Arizona University where he received his Bachelors degree in Elementary and Special Education and a Masters degree in Special Education with an emphasis in Positive Behavior Support. Mr. Phelps enjoys hanging out in the community of Flagstaff and loves what this community has to offer.
